How to Download and Format an Address List from Your Campaign
This guide will walk you through the steps to download an address list from your campaign and reformat the CSV file to make it easier to read. Follow these steps for a smooth process:
Step 1: Access the Campaign
- Log in to your account and go to the Campaigns section.
- Select the specific campaign from which you want to extract the address list.
Step 2: Download the CSV File
- Once you’re on the campaign page, locate and click on the Download CSV button. This button is typically found under the address list or reports section.
- In the pop-up window, select Custom Standard. This option allows you to tailor the content of your CSV file.
- Here, you can add or remove specific fields, depending on the details you want to include in your address list.
- Once you’ve customized your list, click Download. Your file will now be downloaded as a CSV format.
Step 3: Format the CSV File for Better Readability
CSV files often need reformatting to be fully readable in software like Excel or Google Sheets. Here’s how you can convert the file for easier use:
Open the CSV File
- Locate your downloaded CSV file.
- Open the file in a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Convert Data into Columns (If Not Already Separated)
- If all data appears in a single column rather than organized into multiple columns, you’ll need to use the "Text to Columns" tool.
- In Excel:
- Select the column with all data (usually Column A).
- Go to Data > Text to Columns.
- Choose Delimited and click Next.
- Select Comma as the delimiter (this separates data into columns) and click Finish.
Adjust Column Widths and Headers
- Resize columns by double-clicking the edge between column headers for a better view of each entry.
- If needed, rename columns for clarity by double-clicking the header cells.
Save the Reformatted File
- After adjusting the layout, save the file in your preferred format. For example, you can save it as a .xlsx file if you want to retain the Excel formatting or save as a .csv if you need to upload it elsewhere.
