Influencer approval and rejection workflow

This article outlines our process for evaluating and deciding on influencer applications to ensure that we maintain high standards in our partnerships.

Objective:

We aim to review and respond to influencer applications within 24 hours to ensure an efficient and timely process.

1. Initial Screening

Application Reception: Influencer applications are received through our platform.

Automatic Validation: Our system initially checks if the applicant meets basic criteria:

  • Age: 18+

  • Activity: Recent post within the last 30 days

Preliminary Sorting: Applicants who do not meet these requirements are automatically rejected.

2. Detailed Review

  • Manual Assessment: A team member reviews the profiles that pass the initial screening, focusing on:
    • Content Quality: Evaluating the quality and consistency of the content.
    • Follower Authenticity: Checking for signs of fake followers and ensuring a genuine engagement rate.
    • Engagement Metrics: For TikTok, special attention is given to the average views per video.

3. Approval Criteria

To be approved, influencers must meet the following criteria:

Instagram

  • Age: 18+
  • Account Maturity: No newly created accounts

4. Final Decision

Approval: If all criteria are met, the influencer is approved, and a confirmation email is sent to welcome them to the platform.
Rejection: If the criteria are not met, the application is declined, and a rejection email is sent, outlining the reasons.

5. Deeper understanding of the decision

As mentioned previously in the article, the approval proces is a manual proces where we look at the full picture of each influencer. Ultimately the decision is based on our assessment of the potential match between you and brands on the Dreaminfluence platform. If we do not vision you in collaboration with any of the brands of the platform, you might fulfill some of the criteria, but ultimately won't be accepted. In these cases, we probably find your profile a little too messy - meaning that we are unable to categorize your profile into a category. We primarily work with:

  • Sports and nutrition
  • Fashion
  • Family
  • Outdoor
  • Foodie
  • Beauty
  • Home & interior

There might also be other cases where smaller niches makes sense to accept, for instance "gaming" or similar, as we work with brands within these industries. Therefore it's very important that you take a critical look at your own profile and try to navigate and adjust your profile to fit within some of these types of categories. Sometimes you might find yourself in multiple of the industries - it's just very important that it comes to light when looking at your profile. In that way it makes it easier for us to visualize you in a collaboration.

Concrete examples of content within the industries:

Sports: Show action, concrete examples of workouts, results, races or similar.

Home & interior: Concrete examples of setups & inspirational pictures and videos. Influencers in the category are usually very good with the aesthetics, good lightning and calm pictures.

Fashion: Show concrete examples of fashion inspo. Often videos or pictures would include trends like Outfit of The Day, 1 item - 3 styles or similar. Make sure that your content showcase how good you are at highlighting details.

Takeaways and good advice:

  • Remember good lighting, so people are interested in your content
  • Showcase which category you belong - it also makes it easier for the brands to imagine collaborating with you
  • Have relevant highlights in your Instagram showing
  • Don't be afraid to show your face - it makes your profile personal and authentic
  • Mix between regular posting and advertisement-posts - no one wants to look at advertisement exclusively
  • Showcase that you can create storytelling
  • Publish content that show your life, passion and/or person: Mix between environmental pictures, videos, show what you do, what you eat or similar - do not only post selfies
  • No filters

Take inspiration from the concrete examples shown above. Otherwise you are more than welcome to reach out, if you feel like we've made the wrong decision. Otherwise you will be able to re-apply to the platform 90 days after you have been rejected.
